Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that helps AI assistants connect to business systems and use approved tools and data. Accountability uses MCP through Counta AI Connector to provide structured access to agency financial information without requiring manual exports or a separate custom integration for every question.
Why does agency-native financial data matter for AI?
Agency finance depends on relationships between jobs, estimates, billing, time, media, WIP, revenue recognition, utilization, and client profitability. Which AI assistants work with Counta AI Connector?
Counta AI Connector is designed to work with approved AI assistants that support the required connection. Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot are supported today. Google Gemini can also connect, with one note: on some operations, Gemini does not reliably pass through all required parameters, which can affect certain actions. We publish setup guidance for each supported assistant, so your team knows what to expect before rolling it out.
What happens to our data when an AI assistant uses it? Is it used to train AI models?
Counta AI Connector gives your chosen AI assistant permissioned, authenticated access to data in Accountability. Once that data is returned to the assistant, it sits inside that AI tool, so how it is stored, retained, or used, including whether it is used for training, is governed by your agency's own agreement and settings with that AI provider (for example Anthropic, Microsoft, or Google), not by Accountability. We recommend applying your existing AI and data-governance policies to the assistants you connect, the same way you would for any other tool that handles agency data.
